The Better Together Awards has been created to recognise individuals, businesses, charities, CICs and volunteers who go above and beyond to support people across:

This is a community-led initiative celebrating grassroots impact — shining a light on those whose work strengthens our local communities every single day.
The project is led by Gaynor Kirrane, Founder of MY SENSability.

Young Volunteer of the Year

A Judges’ Choice Local Hero Award will also be presented on the evening.
The ceremony will be held on Friday 20th November 2026 at Leigh Miners Welfare Ballroom.
The ceremony is expected to host up to 250 guests and will include formal presentations,

Hopefully the Awards in future will give the opportunity to allow students at local colleges to gain real-world experience in marketing, video production Media and event coverage while contributing to a meaningful community initiative.
